Bushland

I've spent many days of my life wandering through bushland exploring...or as the first Australian call it, going 'walkabout' to discover new places.

Pine Forest: The area around where I live has many pine forest plantations. This is view of a small part of one of those in early morning.

Mary Cairncross Reserve Part Two: Near Maleny, there’s a protected reserve called the “Mary Cairncross Reserve” which is a temperate rain-forest with several bushwalking tracks. This photo was taken near the highest point in the tracks, through the bush.

Hairpin Banksia Spinulosa: The Banksia Tree is delightful and the Spinolosa is more commonly referred to as the Hairpin, based on the flower and seeds appearance when in flower.

Glasshouse Mountains Bushwalking Path: Behind the Glasshouse Mountains Lookout there is a short bushwalking track that takes you through some semi-open woodland country.

Fallen Orchid: Cedar Creek runs through the range near North Mount Tamborine and downstream from the Curtis Falls there are multiple beautiful small rapids like this. Far downstream after recent floods this tree with an Orchid lays perfectly between each bank, now facing downward but still thriving.

Cania Gorge: The Cania Gorge just North of Monto has many beautiful rock formations that form the Gorge walls. This was taken near the Dam end of the Gorge from the Lookout.
